About this item
This Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 312D is an emergency medical service vehicle designed for transporting patients and providing medical assistance during transit. It represents the transition from earlier Soviet-era ambulances to more modern and comfortable European-built emergency vehicles.
The driver's compartment is equipped with communication equipment for contact with dispatch centers and other emergency crews, as well as controls for the vehicle’s emergency lights and sirens. The rear medical compartment is configured for patient care and transportation. It contains a stretcher, storage cabinets and shelves for medical supplies, seating for medical personnel, and mounting points for various medical devices and equipment.
The vehicle is marked with emergency medical service insignia and identification markings, while blue emergency lights mounted on the roof allowed the crew to respond quickly to emergency calls. Vehicles of this type were widely used by emergency medical services throughout Latvia for many years.
